To our knowledge, this is one of the very first initiative to gather input from such a diverse group, and we hope that other collective efforts will follow. Here is an update on publishing and disseminating the letter: * The letter is under embargo until 11AM CET on Thursday (tomorrow). It will be sent by La Quadrature du Net to EU institutions (EU Commission, EU Council and EU Parliament) on Thursday. * From 11AM on Thursday, all signatories are invited to publish the letter on their websites (and send them to the press contacts). As for next steps: * La Quadrature du Net will coordinate efforts to write amendments to the Telecoms Package that reflect the various recommendations contained in the open letter. You should hear about that by the end of the month. * Our research project, netCommons, is also starting to organize a policy workshop to be held in Brussels later this year.
